The large dining room features a breathtaking crystal chandelier and beautiful bay window which brings the outside in. Through the many windows in the dining room you will also see the floodlit gardens and 1000’s of fairy lights during the evening; after all it is a castle and wouldn’t be complete without a fairytale theme!

Garden

The garden is maintained to give year round interest, and to create a historic feel that sits comfortably with the buildings.

The garden beds are planted with shrubs, annuals, perennials, bulbs and roses to provide year round colour and fragrance. Many of the roses were bred by Alister Clark, a family friend who lived at Glenera, Bulla.

The Victorian mound has been restored with plants that tolerate dry shade under the Lone pine. Behind the Guest Cottage local indigenous plants have been used.

The White Wrought Iron Gazebo was shipped over from Scotland in 1882 and is an ideal spot to sit and view the house.

Just 15 minutes from the CBD and 5 minutes from the Melbourne airport, this function venue’s location is convenient and breathtaking.
